I haven't blogged forever :)

Well, since I have been a total slacker I thought I'd better get on and at least tell a little about what's been going on. I started working with Nikki Ritter helping with customer service. It's been a little bit of an adjustment, but I like it. Nikki is great and it's not difficult. Ryans work is still really slow, so we are just trying to stay on top of everything. Kyle had his first pine wood derby, his car was awesome, but it wasn't very fast... we have been swimming quite a bit too. I love when it gets hot out :) Not much else has been happening. The kids are almost out of school. Aaron turns 16 in a couple weeks so we've been letting him get some time behind the wheel. Life just keeps on going....

Taylor broke her finger playing flag football in gym class. She's a tiny bit aggressive...
we can't even take her for a cast until Tuesday because of the swelling. Now all 3 kids have broken something. It's almost funny because she kept saying she wanted to break a finger to see what it felt like during the 4 months kyle had his broken leg. Ryan told her she needed to be careful what she wished for. It's the middle finger of her left hand, which sounds good, unless you know she is a lefty...

We had an evening around the fire after Kyles baptism. We roasted marshmallows and chatted, it was kind of chilly though :)

Kyle finished his Basketball season. They did pretty well and are really starting to "play" the game !

We had Kyle's baptism on March 7th. It was a good day, I only cried a little :)
Scott Slade gave the talk on baptism and Kory Jensen gave the talk on the Holy Ghost. Being friends with us has it's down side... afterward we had cake that Ruth Butler made, soooo good! I highly recommend getting your cake needs filled at the Bakery of Butler!!

Valentines Day

So we had a fun Valentines Day, Mark & Ryan planned it with no help from Kaylene and I, at first I was nervous, but it turned out great. We drove to a mountain some where close, and hiked to a flat spot right before a dropoff where you could see the valley, they built a fire and we watched the sun go down. Then they brought out the fixins for dinner, we had a typical campfire dinner, we roasted hot dogs and had chips and salads ect. Mark brought some tunes and we had nice background music while we chatted and enjoyed the fire. We had hot chocolate, and then packed up to leave after a few hours, such a great night...

Aaron

Yup this is the kid, the one who is constantly grounded for grades. We've taken away everything before, and I do mean everything. No TV, no video games, no friends, no phone (home or cell), no computer, the poor kid had nothing, but books to read, and we even had to take those once because he was reading instead of doing homework. And then I get his progress report... 3 A's and 1 B, I'm not kidding. I knew he had it in him! I jumped for joy when I got the progress report in the mail. What a kid :)

Speaking in Sacrament meeting...

Ok I usually don't post mushy, gooey things, but we got asked to speak in Sacrament meeting last Sunday. The whole family, even Kyle. We got to speak on our Temple sealing and it was both amazing and terrifying. I started crying when Kyle got up and didn't stop until the meeting was over. I can't explain what a wonderful experience the Temple was or how great it was to try and share that with everyone. I just hope everyone could understand me because I really did cry through the entire talk...

GO CARDS!

So the NFC championship game was today. And we skipped half of Church and went. The game was awesome!!! We went with Ryan's parents, and screamed and jumped and now we are all exhausted...
But the Cardinals won and are going to the Super Bowl in Tampa.

Freakin' Awesome :)

Scouts

Turning 8 means cub scouts. Oh joy. For those of you who don't know, I am not a scout mom. So this means a bunch of work that makes him happy and me very grumpy. But isn't he cute in his uniform?
